WHO WE ARE
Our story
BACK TO THE ROOTS
Saturated by the frenzy of city life we feel that this is no longer our place.
We are purchasing a farmhouse that is no longer in use and needs to be restored in all its parts, of very ancient origins dating back to 1875.
At the time it was a productive farmhouse and we would have liked to bring it back to its former glory. Our adventure begins here
OUR INTENT
Today we produce a Barbera del Monferrato, we are recovering old abandoned vineyards and making new plants to bring back to life a long winemaking tradition of these places.
THE BEGINNING
Our farm was founded in 2016, located in the municipality of Villadeati (AL) in the Basso Monferrato area.
It was born from the idea of wanting to build and work as a family, carrying forward those values that mother Ornella passed on to us children.
It originates above all from the desire to be able to work and live in harmony with nature and produce zero-mile fruit and vegetables in an organic regime.
The Monferrato
Monferrato is one of the most famous Italian wine regions in the world, especially for red wines and sparkling wines.
The dry continental climate with hot summers tending to drought and particularly cold winters and the particular hydrogeological conformation of the land are favorable to viticulture , which is dominant throughout the territory, making wine not only an element of economic wealth for the entire region, but also and above all a true symbol of the culture and tradition of Monferrato. The widespread diffusion of native vines and consequently of a multiple variety of wines are evidence of this.
Lower Monferrato or Casalese Monferrato
Also known as the Town of Fountains, Villadeati is part of the Union of Municipalities of the Cerrina Valley and is located in the westernmost part of Monferrato Casalese, on the border with the province of Asti.
This portion of the Monferrato territory is characterized by hills that reach much higher altitudes than the Casale area.
The waters that flow underground in Villadeati are rich in trace elements and, also for this reason, there are many fountains scattered throughout the municipality, from which they can resurface.
